Winter coming soon!
We have already seen the first snow in Strbske Pleso this year, and the skiing season is coming soon. Kristina and Magnus are ready to put on both their cross-country and alpine skiis as soon as the opportunitiy is here, and so are their parents. This picture is from 2 seasons ago. Last year we had the longest ski-season in the histroy of Strbske Pleso, it lasted from November until around May 10th. Let's hope for a winter with lots of snow!!

well, snow is gone now... I guess the reason there are so few skiers is that only ~10% of the people (out of ~ 4.5 mill) live close to the mountains. Also there is a lack of tradition and a funding... There are currently 3 Slovak skiers that would make the Norwegian national team though: Bajčičák, Prokaskova and the female slalom skier...
